All throughout the month of March, NVHS will be collecting old sneakers, athletic shoes, and cleats, regardless of condition, at the Planet Fitness Braintree, MA location. Drop them off in our marked barrel, and at the end of the month we will send them to GotSneakers.
GotSneakers sends good condition shoes to people who need them and recycles shoes that are in poor condition. Neponset Valley Humane Society get a portion of the money GotSneakers raises through their recycling program—100% of which we put toward helping cats in our care.
Shoes in landfills can take between 20 to 40 years to decompose, so do your part to help the planet and help NVHS at the same time! Drop your sneakers at Planet Fitness, 749 Granite Rd., Braintree, MA.
